Highland Fusion is a unique performing dance group that fuses two different styles of dance and music together. Through their original choreography, they blend traditional Scottish Highland dance with modern styles, such as jazz and ballet. This, in turn, is set to upbeat Scottish tunes, which range from foot-tapping fiddler music to bagpipes and rock and roll. Accompanied by their intense energy level, Highland Fusion entirely re-invents Highland Dance.

Formed in January of 1996, the group has performed in a variety of different shows, including repeat performances at the Costa Mesa Highland Games and the San Diego Highland Games. They also perform in cultural exhibitions as well as for private parties.

Highland Fusion's style simultaneously brings a modern flavor to traditional Scottish dance and the culture of Scotland to standard forms of jazz and ballet. Accompanied by their intense energy level, Highland Fusion entirely reinvents Highland Dance.
